GTA 6’s New, Official Cover Art and Screenshots Goes Big on Jason, Lucia, and Other Characters

A lot has been happening around GTA 6 in the last few days. From multiple leaks to DMCA takedowns and subpoenas, Rockstar’s next big game has probably seen it all. While fans awaited about the legitimacy of the leaks surfacing online, Rockstar’s official statement from yesterday hints that the footage were real.

The company has further asked fans to patiently wait for the release and enjoy today’s GTA 6: An Extended Look premiere on Netflix, Dazed has unveiled some new, eye-popping cover artwork and screenshots alongside fresh details from Rockstar’s development team.

GTA 6’s characters get the spotlight in the latest artwork and screenshots

The cover artwork from Dazed features Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, the game’s playable couple. Dazed describes Jason as an ex-military drug runner and Lucia as a fighter fresh from prison. Another image shows the pair together at the High Life Hotel. The remaining artwork expands the spotlight beyond GTA 6’s two protagonists.

The red-dress portrait is Lucia Caminos, while the mint-jacket portrait features Jason Duval. Dazed credits specific fictional fashion labels and accessories throughout the shoot. The other portraits include Roxy, Boobie Ike, Bae-Luxe and Raul Bautista. Dazed identifies Roxy and Bae-Luxe as the Real Dimez duo.

The bigger GTA 6 detail hiding behind the artwork

That artwork connects directly to one of Dazed’s biggest revelations. Rockstar has spent years researching Miami and surrounding communities for Leonida. The studio reportedly maintains a dedicated research team in Miami. Developers have met ex-criminals, law enforcement officers, club promoters and gun dealers.

Rockstar says much of GTA 6’s character population comes from that research. More than 50 real street artists also contributed murals across Vice City. The game’s NPC team has also expanded heavily since Red Dead Redemption 2. Rockstar even has a Los Angeles branch focused almost entirely on pedestrians.

That makes these images more interesting than simple promotional artwork. They reflect Rockstar’s push toward a world shaped by local culture, fashion and believable characters. Dazed also confirms that Jason and Lucia can be switched during certain situations. Players can even use Lucia’s phone while Jason drives.

Not to forget, Rockstar has also confirmed that creators are free to livestream the GTA 6: An Extended Look. The studio further clarified that they must “adhere to platform-specific guidance and do not simply restream or repost the unedited video in full without context or commentary.”
