If you have been craving GTA 6 glimpses before Netflix’s special “Extended Look,” the latest leak has delivered exactly that. Now, Take-Two is reportedly issuing DMCA takedowns against leaked gameplay videos. That response is adding fresh weight to claims that the footage may actually be genuine.

Take-Two is reportedly targeting leaked GTA 6 footage

The latest GTA 6 leak surfaced on August 18, featuring two gameplay clips and an alleged full map. The footage reportedly came from a source calling itself CyberLeek. One clip reportedly shows Jason playing basketball near a property. Another shows Jason driving, colliding with traffic, and fighting an NPC.

The leaked map reportedly depicts Leonida and includes five counties. Some reported gameplay details include a six-star wanted system, vehicle fuel, maintenance, and stamina mechanics. Take-Two’s reported DMCA action is now becoming a talking point. Multiple new outlets have reported videos being removed after copyright complaints.

That doesn’t mean the leaked material represents the final GTA 6 build. In fact, folks at Insider Gaming were contacted by an anonymous source, pointing that metadata of the leaked footage dating from 2023 or earlier.

As of now, Rockstar hasn’t publicly confirmed the footage. Take-Two also has not officially authenticated the material. Last but not least, the DMCA strike suggest the footage is being treated as copyrighted GTA 6 material. That makes the leak harder to dismiss outright.
