The Fortnite error code 0 is pretty clear and it appears due to the anti-cheat system. Basically, the anti-cheat system doesn’t have enough privileges to run and without it, you get the Error Code 0 when run Fortnite. This might also be due to corrupt game files and we’ll address both issues below.
How do I fix Fortnite error code 0 on PC?
1. Run the anti-cheat files as administrator
- Press Win + E to start File Explorer and go to the Fortnite folder on PC.
- Go to the following location:
FortniteGame\Binaries\Win64
- Right-click on the FortniteClient-Win64-Shipping file and select Properties.
- Click on the Compatibility tab and check the box Run this program as an administrator, then click Apply and OK to save the changes.
- Repeat the same procedure for the FortniteClient-Win-64-Shipping-BE, ForniteClient-Win64-Shipping-EAC, and FortniteLauncher files.
- Now, try launching the game.
After providing administrator right to launch these files, you won’t have any issues anymore. However, you need to be logged on your PC on an administrative account for this to work. If this doesn’t work, also try disabling the third-party antivirus temporarily.
2. Check the integrity of the game files
- Open the Epic Game Launcher on your PC.
- Click on Library and click the gear icon by the Fortnite launch button.
- Now click on Verify and wait for the launcher to verify the integrity of all the game files.
If Fortnite is missing any files or has been corrupted by a other problems, the Epic Launcher will restore the problematic files.
As a last resort, you may also reinstall the game, but remember to copy your saves to another location first so you don’t lose your progress.
