1. Run Photoshop CS2 as Administrator

3. Change ‘owner’ settings from Advanced Settings
- Open the Computer window.
- Open the “C:” partition or wherever partition you have your Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 system installed.
- Right click on the “Windows” folder.
- Left click or tap on the “Properties” feature.
- Now that you have the Properties windows in front of you, left-click or tap on the “Share” tab.
- Left click or tap on the “Advanced Security” button you have in the “Share” menu.
- Left click or tap on the “Change” option you have there.
- Left click or tap on the “Advanced” button.
- Left click or tap on the “Find Now” button.
- Left click or tap on your user to select it from the list that appears.
- Left click or tap on the “OK” button.
- Left click or tap on the “OK” button again.
- Check the box next to: “Replace owner on subcontainers and objects”
- Left click or tap on the “Apply” button to save your changes.
- Left click or tap on the “OK” button if you are prompt by a user account control message.
- Now close all the windows you have open.
- Go again and try opening the “Photoshop CS2” application by right-clicking on it and selecting the “Run as Administrator” feature again.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to finish the installation.
