KB5027119

Windows 11’s latest updates brought a lot of stability to the system, addressing many security vulnerabilities. In fact, just the latest Patch Tuesday took care of some very critical vulnerabilities.

But they are essential for your computer to work well. However, in many instances, these updates also cause a lot of issues. Take, for example, the KB5027119 update, which for some caused an issue with the ProSeries printing devices.

According to this Reddit user, the update has broken the device altogether. The ProSeries device was not able to save files and print them anymore.

But there is a fix, fortunately. However, it is temporary, but until Microsoft addresses the issue, you should resort to it if you don’t any options available.

Here’s how to fix the printing issue in ProSeries

To stop ProSeries from breaking when printing, you’ll need to uninstall the KB5027119 update. Once it is done, you’ll just have to make sure you won’t install it again. Or at least, until Microsoft comes up with a solution.

  1. Go to Settings, and then head over to Windows update.
  2. Click on Update history, and scroll down to Uninstall updates.
  3. Here, you’ll just have to uninstall Update for Microsoft Windows (KB5027119).KB5027119

Optionally, if your ProSeries still doesn’t work, then you should opt for a restart. Restart your PC, and try again. If it works, then you’ll just have to be careful not to install this update again, for now.

Windows updates can cause a lot of issues, but Microsoft releases them frequently, in Patch Tuesday updates. So you don’t need to worry that your PC will be left behind. It won’t. And with the next updates, this particular issue will be addressed. That way you’ll be able to update it without experiencing issues.
