KB5070303 Adds HD Voices to Narrator and Magnifier in Windows 11 25H2
The update also adds some new features to Click to Do
Microsoft has released KB5070303 for Windows 11 version 25H2, with Insider Preview Build 26220.7262 to both the Dev and Beta Channels.
With this update, Microsoft is upgrading Narrator and Magnifier with high-definition natural voices. These voices use Azure’s latest on-device text-to-speech models. The update brings clearer audio and smoother pacing during reading sessions. It also reduces fatigue for users who rely on speech output throughout the day.
The first release supports English (United States). Insiders get one male voice, Andrew, and one female voice, Ava. Both options offer more expressive tone control and better rhythm when reading long passages.
Users can enable HD voices in Settings. Go to Accessibility, open Narrator, and pick “add a natural voice.” After downloading, you can switch voices and adjust speaking speed instantly. The changes apply system-wide.
With this update, Magnifier also supports HD natural voices. Like Narrator, it offers direct controls for voice switching and speed adjustments. This helps users who prefer listening to highlighted text rather than reading it. You can enable it by following the steps below:
- Open Settings > Accessibility > Magnifier.
- Navigate to “add a natural voice” button
- Download your preferred voice.
- Change voices or adjust speed anytime in Magnifier settings.

The company further says more languages will come later, after improving performance and quality.
