KB5070303 Preview Upgrades Narrator With Ability to Read Math in Microsoft Word
The update also adds HD voice support to Narrator and Magnifier
Microsoft has rolled out Insider Preview Build 26220.7262 for Beta and Dev channel of Windows 11 version 25H2 under KB5070303. And, it introduces the furst phase of math reading support in Word.
According to Microsoft, the feature helps users who are blind or have low vision do equations more confidently. Narrator can now read math expressions in Microsoft Word in a structured, meaningful order.
The update aims to make STEM learning more accessible. Instead of reading symbols in a flat line, Narrator now communicates hierarchy. This improves clarity for formulas, fractions, exponents, and scientific notation.
Insiders can enable Narrator using Win + Ctrl + Enter. Opening a Word document with equations triggers the updated reading model. Standard reading commands work as usual. Narrator will read each equation with better structure and tone.
Besides this update, Microsoft has also added HD voice support for Narrator and Magnifier. Insiders in the Beta and Dev channel can try the feature after installing KB5070303 on their Windows 11 25H2 systems.
