[UPDATE: New Build] KB5070311 Preview Rolls Out New Camera & Click to Do Upgrades to Copilot+ PCs

[UPDATE 11/26] Microsoft has released Builds 26100.7309 and 26200.7309 under the same KB5070311 for Windows 11 version 24H2 and 25H2, with “some minor changes.”

[ORIGINAL] Microsoft has released KB5070311 in the Release Preview channel that bumps systems on Windows 11 version 24H2 to Build 26100.7296 and version 25H2 to 26200.7296. This update rolls out several improvements for Copilot+ PCs.

AI-powered camera effects now work on more cameras

The update adds support for Windows Studio Effects on additional cameras, including USB webcams and laptops’ built-in rear camera. You can now enable additional enhancements from Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Cameras. For quick set up, these controls are also available in Quick Settings.

Besides that, Microsoft is also rolling out an updated Click to Do experience for Copilot+ PCs. The context menu now has a cleaner layout that puts actions like Copy, Save, Share, and Open for quick actions. The menu also opens automatically when large images or tables appear, speeding up common tasks without searching through UI layers. This update has also been rolled out separately to Insiders on Beta and Dev channels of Windows 11 version 25H2. You can read more about it here.

Agent improvements make settings easier to manage

The Agent in Settings feature has been upgraded with deeper visibility and quicker adjustments. Search results now show more items at once and include a scroll bar. Recently modified settings surface inline agent recommendations, reducing the number of steps needed to make changes. If a setting can’t be adjusted further, a new dialog explains why and offers alternatives.

As part of the updated Copilot+ PC experience, File Explorer now includes updated placeholder text in the search box, drawing attention to the enhanced Windows Search capabilities powered by Microsoft’s ongoing AI work.
