Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece Reportedly Headed to Nintendo Switch 2
Nintendo Switch 2 continues to dominate sales in Japan, and major publishers are lining up new releases for the console. A new report now suggests that one of Square Enix’s most requested franchises could finally make a full return to Nintendo hardware.
Insiders point to a native Kingdom Hearts port
According to The Gamer, multiple insiders claim that Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece is in development for Nintendo Switch 2.
Unlike previous releases, the port is reportedly native, not cloud-based, which means players would download and run the games directly on the system.
Integrum Masterpiece bundles the core trilogy, making it an attractive entry point for both newcomers and long-time fans. Because of the collection’s size, community discussions suggest the release could ship as a Game Key Card rather than a traditional cartridge.
Nintendo fans have long criticized cloud-only releases on Switch, especially for action-heavy RPGs. A native version would address those concerns and signal stronger hardware confidence from publishers. Many players now hope this move could open the door for more Kingdom Hearts titles to arrive on Switch 2 in full, offline form.
For now, neither Nintendo nor Square Enix has confirmed the project. The information remains based on insider reports, and an official announcement has yet to appear.
In related news, Nintendo reportedly explores new Switch 2 hardware models, while rising memory costs could push Switch 2 prices higher in the future.
