Lenovo's Googlebook 15 Leak Hints at Android-Style UI & Dedicated Google Key, Could Launch at IFA 2026

If you’ve been wondering what Lenovo has been quietly working on behind the scenes, a fresh leak shared by the folks at Digital Citizen and AndroidHeadlines may have just given you the answer. The news outlets have shared what they claim are official press renders of Lenovo’s Googlebook 15, which by the way, hasn’t been confirmed or announced by Lenovo or Google just yet.

For those wondering, Lenovo has not announced the laptop, making every detail unofficial for now. That said the images and details are quite interesting. The leaked renders show a slim 15-inch notebook with a centered keyboard and trackpad. Large speaker grilles sit on both sides of the keyboard. Unlike Windows laptops, the familiar Windows key is replaced by a dedicated Google key.

Another keyboard change also stands out. The traditional Caps Lock key appears to double as an app launcher shortcut. Speaking of software, the leaked interface looks nothing like Windows or ChromeOS today. Instead, it resembles Android with a top status bar and a rounded dock along the bottom. The taskbar seen in the image suggest inclusion of multiple Google apps like Gemini, Gmail, Chrome, Google Calendar, YouTube, Google Photos, Google Play, Canva, and Adobe Premiere.

Hardware details remain under wraps

The leaked images also reveal a healthy selection of ports. The laptop reportedly includes two USB-C ports, one USB-A port, HDMI, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Another cutout may house a microSD card reader. The webcam area appears slightly raised and includes a physical privacy shutter. Dolby Atmos branding is also visible, while the hinge reportedly opens to 157.5 degrees.

As of now, the processor, RAM, storage, battery size, display resolution, and pricing remain unknown. That being said, both news outlets expect Lenovo to launch the Googlebook 15 during IFA 2026. Previous reports also suggested Lenovo has multiple Googlebook models in development, so this may only be the beginning.
