Microsoft 365 Chat

Microsoft Surface Event 2023 unveiled that Microsoft 365 Copilot is finally being released to commercial customers on November 1, and with it, Microsoft 365 Chat, a new AI assistant, will also be out in the world.

According to the latest entry in the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, not only Microsoft 365 Chat will be available in November, but the AI tool will also be released worldwide, alongside Copilot.

As you might know already, Copilot will be coming to a plethora of Microsoft 365 apps, including Word, PowerPoint, and OneDrive. So its chatty assistant will be coming along with it, it seems.

Microsoft 365 Chat will be available on multiple platforms, including microsoft365.com, Teams, and Bing.

Microsoft 365 Chat: What does it do?

This new AI tool will act similarly to Bing Chat, but for enterprise situations, and the tool will be able to do any task that you give to it.Microsoft 365 Chat

For example, it might look into your messages to help you get some older attachments from it. Or, it will help you summarize presentations, come up with follow-up draft emails, or just suggest ideas and recommendations to get work done much faster.

Your single destination to take on any task. It combines the power of Large Language Models with your work content and context, and other apps, to help you draft content, catch up on what you missed, and get answers to questions via open prompts.

Microsoft

Just like Bing, and Copilot, who already are capable of sporting plug-ins, Microsoft 365 Chat will also make use of the plug-ins you have installed on your device to solve tasks and generally offer better solutions to any issue that you might have.

For now, it will only come to the desktop platforms, including Mac, but Microsoft will most likely add it to mobile devices, as well.
