Microsoft today announced a new Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard and a new Microsoft Bluetooth Keyboard for release on October 15th, just two weeks from now.

The Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard, as its name suggests, is designed for wrist health and comfort with a split keyboard, cushion, and palm rest while the Microsoft Bluetooth Keyboard uses a more traditional rectangular form factor and can connect wirelessly to devices while boasting two years of battery life.

What really sets these keyboards apart though is their dedicated Windows 10 shortcut keys for Office 365, search, emoji, media controls, and screen snipping. The Microsoft Bluetooth Keyboard even appears to have a shortcut for the Windows 10 Your Phone app which is interesting.

While it can be difficult to offer dramatic improvements to keyboards, it is fascinating to see Microsoft push specific Windows 10 functions this way.

Pre-orders for the Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard are now live on the Microsoft Store website for $59.99 while the Microsoft Bluetooth Keyboard is selling for $49.99 and is also up for pre-order.
