Microsoft Announces Global Return of Windows Insider Meetups

Windows Insider Meetup Seattle

Microsoft has officially announced the return of its highly anticipated Windows Insider meetups, signaling a renewed push to connect directly with its most dedicated users. The announcement, spearheaded by Marcus Ash, Head of Design and Research across Windows & Devices, confirms that the tech giant is taking its community engagement on the road to five major cities across the globe.

Following a successful kickoff event in Seattle last month, Microsoft aims to foster closer ties between its product development teams and the Insider community. Ash emphasized that the core goal of these events is to listen closely to user feedback, provide hands-on experiences with new software developments, and candidly discuss areas where the Windows operating system can improve.

“Throughout my career, the best products have come from a real connection with the community where both sides want to build something we’re proud of,” Ash noted.

A five-city global tour commences this Spring

The initial global tour includes the following stops:

  • New York City, USA: April 21
  • Hyderabad, India: May 7
  • Taipei, Taiwan: May 13
  • San Francisco, USA: June 4
  • London, UK: June 23

The tech corporation indicated that it expects to add more cities to the roster in the future. Members of the Windows Insider Program are encouraged to register their interest online for a chance to interact directly with the engineers and designers behind the software.

Focus on Feedback and Product Improvement

In addition to the live meetups, Microsoft teased that it will unveil specific changes to the Windows Insider Program later this week. These updates, which are driven by recent community feedback, are expected to bring clearer communication channels and give users more control over the features they test.

By prioritizing face-to-face interaction and actionable feedback, Microsoft is reinforcing its commitment to the Insider community, aiming to continuously refine the Windows experience for its billion-plus users worldwide.
