Xbox Game Pass price

As we predicted a while ago, Microsoft has made important changes to its Xbox Game Pass subscription price, an action that is guaranteed to create ripples within the gaming community. From July 10 onwards, those new to Xbox Game Pass must pay more. For example, if one wants a PC Game Pass from the U.S., now it costs $11.99 per month instead of the previous price, which was only $9.99 each month before the change date.

If you are aiming for the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, be ready to pay $19.99 every month, which is more than the previous monthly rate of $16.99. For yearly lovers of a 12-month Xbox Game Pass Core subscription, prepare yourself for a price of $74.99—an increase from the previous amount of $59.99 last year.

July 10 also ends new subscriptions for the Xbox Game Pass for Console plan. If you are already in, then you are in, but if your subscription ends, there is no way back to this specific plan.

Also, Microsoft limits how far you can stack your Game Pass for Console subscription. The maximum extension limit will be 13 months from September 18, 2024.

Xbox Game Pass for Console codes will continue to be redeemable until further notice. As of September 18, 2024, the maximum extension limit of Game Pass for Console will be 13 months. This will not impact any time you currently have stacked on your account that exceeds 13 months and will only impact your future ability to stack more than 13 months after September 18, 2024.

Microsoft

Microsoft is playing a trick on us, too, and they are hinting about the introduction of the Xbox Game Pass Standard. It will cost $14.99 every month in the United States, and with this plan, you can expect to have access to a wide variety of Xbox games.

You also get benefits such as being able to play online multiplayer games together and game discounts. However, the plan does not provide Day One games or Xbox Cloud Gaming support; these are only available for PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members.

With these new Xbox Game Pass price changes, Microsoft seems to be leading us into new and unknown territories, and many users and gamers might not like it at all.

You can check out all the new price details in this Microsoft PDF document.
