Outlook email subject header

Microsoft will update the email subject header section to enhance the user experience when reading emails.

The improvements include changes to the header component that displays meeting information in meeting invitations and other similar sections.

One of the key highlights of this update is its responsive design. The subject header section will better adapt to available screen space, making sure that users can view the content comfortably on smaller devices, such as smartphones, or displays with high scale factors where elements are resized for better visibility.

The enhancement was announced in an entry to the Microsoft 365 Roadmap:

The subject header section that shows up at the top when reading an email will be improved. This includes the component that contains meeting information when looking at a meeting invitation and other similar components. The subject header section will be more sensitive to available space and allow for a more comfortable reading experience when on smaller screens or on displays with high scale factors.

The enhancement will be added to Outlook this month.

In more recent news, Microsoft will also enhance the shared mailbox interface in the new Outlook, for a consistent and intuitive user experience.
