Microsoft is Bringing Copilot to Classic Outlook to Schedule Your Meetings
We have already entered 2026, but it seems Microsoft’s aggressive Copilot push into its apps and services from last year is extending to this year, too. This time, Otlook Classic is on the receiving end. As spotted by folks at Neowin, Microsoft has updated its official M365 roadmap with a new Copilot-powered scheduling experience coming to classic Outlook for Windows.
The feature in question is the “Schedule with Copilot,” which allows users to set up meetings directly from Copilot chat, without jumping through calendars or email threads.
Outlook’s new Copilot scheduling keeps everything inside chat
Once the update rolls out, you can simply ask Copilot to schedule a meeting with colleagues. Copilot will then check participant availability, find suitable time slots, book meeting rooms, draft an agenda, and send out invitations automatically. All of this happens within the chat experience or through a dedicated “Schedule with Copilot” button in the Outlook UI.
In other words, Microsoft is cutting the hassle of the manual back-and-forth that comes with coordinating meetings. As of now, the feature is currently marked as In Development, with a Preview available in January 2026. Microsoft has further noted that the wider rollout might begin sometime in March 2026.
It’s worth noting that the new “Schedule with Copilot” feature will be available to users with a Microsoft 365 Copilot license and will roll out worldwide on desktop systems under the standard multi-tenant cloud environment.
