For those of you who are less familiar with the latest Windows 11 experimental features, Microsoft is testing a feature called Resume, otherwise known as Hands Off, which will allow you to start an app on another device, including an Android phone and continue using it on your PC.
This hidden experimental feature was previously spotted in the Settings > System menu. Now, according to an X post from phantomofearth the Resume option was moved to the Settings > Apps menu in Windows 11 22635.4510.
Obviously, since the Resume feature is all about controlling certain apps beyond your device, it’s natural to have its settings under the Apps category.
Once you click the Resume option, the new window will be populated with the list of apps that can be used in such a way.
If you’re an insider running the Windows 11 22635.4510 beta build, you can enable or disable this feature using the following commands in Vivetool:
- vivetool /enable /id:49527529
- vivetool /disable /id:49527529
Right now, you may use it for OneDrive, to pick up your work from an Android or iPhone device on your PC.
We don’t know when this feature will appear on a general distribution version of Windows 11, but it looks promising.
