What’s new in .NET 10 Preview 1?
The .NET 10 Preview 1 isn’t the final product—it’s more like a try-before-you-buy version that’s inviting developers to jump in, experiment, and share feedback. Here are some of the standout features that Microsoft is excited about:
- Performance boosts: Expect a faster and leaner runtime. The preview comes with improvements that aim to slingshot application performance, making heavy lifting feel a lot breezier.
- Modern cloud enhancements: With cloud-native development in mind, .NET 10 has been optimized to work seamlessly with modern cloud environments. This means smoother integrations and a better overall experience for building and deploying cloud-centric apps.
- Streamlined APIs & productivity: Microsoft has reworked several APIs to make life easier for developers. Whether you’re working on cross-platform projects or diving into new language features, the focus is on making coding simpler and more efficient.
- Improved diagnostic tools: Debugging and troubleshooting get some love in this release. Enhanced tooling means you can now track down issues faster, giving you more time to focus on building great applications.
For many developers, these previews aren’t just tech updates—they’re a look into the future of development. However, the full release of .NET 10 is promised for an October launch.
