Microsoft Edge Dev 129

Microsoft released another update to the Edge Dev Channel, enhancing the 129 version just days after the most recent one. Version 129.0.2766.0 has fixes and features that make the browser more stable.

First, Android users are getting a treat with a new Rewards Campaign. Then, the update’s improvements and bug fixes include fixing annoying issues with NordVPN. For instance, after installing NordVPN on Android, the browser would have crashed when switching from an InPrivate tab to a standard tab. Not anymore.

Have you ever reopened your browser to find your carefully organized Tab Groups jumbled up? Frustrating. However, Microsoft is working on restoring the correct collapsed state of Tab Groups when relaunching the browser.

Plus, they’ve cleared up some visual clutter in the Browser Essentials ‘Thank you!’ message popup and fixed a size mismatch issue when splitting the screen right after opening the browser for the first time.

Good news for Android enthusiasts: The ‘Enjoying Microsoft Edge so far’ feature page should now appear as expected in the feedback section. Microsoft also removed a pesky grey summarize icon that was showing up in the overflow menu when signing into AAD on Android.

When it comes to iOS users, the update relieves several irritating issues. Ever notice the red triangle icon overlapping the leaked password text on the Password Monitor page? Or how about the translation bar becoming narrow and elongated when clicking the ‘Show original’ button? Both of these issues have been addressed.

Plus, they’ve fixed the problem where NTP weather data wouldn’t load without a network connection and the issue with the keyboard staying fixed on the NTP page, refusing to be dismissed.
