Microsoft releases KB5046906/KB5046910/KB5046915 for WinRE

Microsoft has revealed a new batch of Windows 11 recovery and setup updates. Last week’s Patch Tuesday contained several dynamic updates for WinRE, also known as Windows Recovery Environment, and setup updates.
The new Windows 11 setup binary update, KB5046906, is available for Windows 11 versions 22H2 and 23H2. According to the patch notes, the update makes “improvements to Windows setup binaries or any files that setup uses for feature updates in Windows 11, version 22H2 and Windows 11, version 23H2. “
Microsoft has also released safe OS WinRE updates for Windows 11 24H2 and 22H2/23H2. The notes say KB5046910 and KB5046915 “make improvements to the Windows recovery environment in Windows 11, version 24H2” and “make improvements to the Windows recovery environment in Windows 11, version 22H2 and Windows 11, version 23H2. “
The dynamic update packages must be applied to existing Windows images before deployment. Microsoft recommends that users download the updates from the Update Catalog website.
