Microsoft is here with the Xbox June Update. The company has detailed everything it announced related to Xbox this month. From Xbox app upgrades on PC to quality-of-life changes on consoles and cloud. The company even unveiled the ROG Xbox Ally handheld series to enter the handheld gaming space.
On PC, the Xbox app now lets you browse games by publisher. It’s a small addition, but it makes it easier to discover titles from your favorite developers. Xbox also kicked off Insider testing for its upcoming universal launcher feature, which pulls games from multiple storefronts into a single library.
Microsoft’s Copilot for Gaming is now in beta for iOS and Android. It offers help when you’re stuck in a game. You just have to ask. Not to forget, the ROG Xbox Ally series is also expected to support Copilot for Gaming support starting later this year.
Xbox users can now hide system apps, customize tile counts, and pin favorites. Game Hubs have also landed. These display achievements, player stats, friends online, and available DLC—all in one spot. A quick double-tap on the play button jumps straight into the game.
For cloud and console, there’s now a save sync progress bar. Microsoft says it shows device names, timestamps, and extra details when a save hasn’t synced yet. Touch and mouse support have been added for more cloud games. The ‘Stream your own game’ and Retro Classics collections also got new titles this month.
To top it off, Xbox confirmed it’ll be at Gamescom from August 20–24. No lineup yet, but expect more reveals from Xbox Game Studios when the event kicks off.
