Microsoft is shoving default Copilot prompts in Edge's address bar, but they're irrelevant and annoying

Microsoft tends to push its products to users, and it has been doing that for years, and Copilot is no exception.
It seems that the company is doing the same by having Copilot prompts right in the address bar in Edge.
Microsoft is testing Copilot prompts in the address bar in Edge
Copilot in Edge has been present for a while, and it has been confined to the sidebar, so you didn’t have to use it, unless you needed it.
This was useful since you could activate it when needed, and you would get a list of prompts you could use.
It seems that Microsoft is making some changes, and Copilot prompts are now available in the address bar in the Dev version of Edge.
This can be rather annoying since you’ll get a different prompt whenever you open a new tab thus making the prompts irrelevant.
To make this feature more useful, Microsoft could make it work with your recent searches or trending searches, but in its current form this feature feels useless.
While there’s no way to get rid of these suggestions, they at least don’t appear in the Private Browsing mode.
It’s not uncommon for Microsoft to push its products, and speaking of which users are furious by the new Outlook. As for Copilot, some users are disappointed by Copilot, so perhaps Microsoft needs to reconsider its strategy.
