Microsoft is working on suggested replies and contextual search for Microsoft Teams, two new features that should help you save a little bit of time and effort. According to the Microsoft 365 Roadmap document, the contextual search is timed for roll out beginning in June, and suggested replies to follow late in the fourth quarter.

With contextual search, Microsoft Teams will be able to anticipate what you really want to search on a channel or chat, which should eliminate the need to go through multiple pages of search results as people currently do. “Users will now have the ability to search for content in a specific channel or chat by pressing CTRL + F,” the company explained on the Microsoft 365 roadmap.

Suggested replies is the other new feature coming to Microsoft Teams later this year. With this feature, Microsoft Teams will provide three related options for select messages that can be addressed with a short response. Users will be able to quickly respond to a particular message simply by tapping on a suggested reply. In case you missed it, we remind you that Outlook on the web is also getting a similar “Suggested replies” feature, so it’s nice to see Microsoft finally adding it to its Teams collaboration app too.
