Microsoft Viva, the work-oriented social media platform where organizations can keep in touch with their employees, will soon be enhanced with a couple of handy features.
According to the latest entries in the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, the platform will facilitate users’ interactions and work completion.
First, there is AI, and more specifically, Copilot. One entry says that Microsoft Viva will add Copilot to its summarization capability in the following months (approximately January to June 2025), allowing the AI to generate a comprehensive summary using the preferred tone or length. The summarization can then be used to catch up with other organization members, such as managers, shareholders, or specific teams. Here’s what the entry says:
Copilot in Viva Goals helps you save time by generating a comprehensive summary with tone, length of your preference for one or more goals in the view, allowing you to quickly catch up on and share your goal status and progress with leaders, stakeholders, and your team.

Another Copilot-based feature coming to Microsoft Viva is the AI model, which will help users find and catch up on documents, meetings, chats, and emails, all within the platform.
Copilot in Viva Goals helps you save time by generating a comprehensive summary with tone, length of your preference for one or more goals in the view, allowing you to quickly catch up on and share your goal status and progress with leaders, stakeholders, and your team.

The first feature will be available starting June 2025, while the second will be available in April 2025. However, another capability is coming to Microsoft Viva, which will be released next month.
Viva users can copy a publication within an existing campaign with just a few clicks, effectively streamlining their content creation process. The capability will allow them to easily reuse existing content across other Microsoft 365 apps, such as SharePoint, Outlook, and Teams. Here’s what the entry says:
Gone are the days where you must rewrite or manually copy and paste content from an old publication to a newly drafted one to reuse it. Soon in Viva Amplify, you will be able to copy a publication within an existing campaign with just a few clicks. This new feature streamlines the content creation process, enabling communicators to easily reuse existing content across SharePoint, Outlook, and Teams, including all channel-specific customizations and related audiences, saving you time and effort.
