SharePoint users will be able to add the platform’s dashboard to their web pages to display certain types of information or organize content visually.

Right now, this dashboard webpart is only usable on Home Sites. Home Sites are typically central hubs designed for organization-wide communication and information sharing.

Well, according to a recent entry to the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, the availability of this web part is being expanded. It will also work on Team Sites (designed for more minor group collaboration) and Communication Sites (focused on sharing content with a broader audience).

Here’s what the entry says:

The dashboard layout webpart will be available on all sites and pages. Currently the dashboard webpart is limited to Home Sites, it will be extended to Team Sites and Communication Sites.

The addition will happen next month, in April.

In similar news, Microsoft revealed last month that the platform will integrate AI agents to allow users to create sites faster.
