Another major development is OpenAI’s $11.9 billion deal with CoreWeave, widely interpreted as a sign of declining confidence in Azure’s ability to meet growing demand.
Talent loss and knowledge gaps add to the problem

The trend continues as Azure AI veteran Eric Boyd has moved to Anthropic, highlighting ongoing talent shifts within Microsoft’s AI division.
