The PC handheld market is exploding and it seems that more and more companies are developing their handheld devices.
Speaking of which, Microsoft recently had a survey regarding handheld devices, which left many users speculating about the Xbox handheld.
Microsoft’s survey leads many to believe we might see a handheld Xbox
Not long ago, Phil Spencer was asked about handheld Xbox, and while we didn’t get any concrete information, it seems that we might be a step closer to getting an answer.
This was reported by Gameranx, and it seems that Microsoft is doing market research and analyzing if there’s an interest from its users in a handheld device.
The survey contains all the usual questions regarding the demographics, and the type of owned devices, consoles, and operating systems. There are also questions regarding Xbox Game Pass membership and ownership of handheld consoles.
Some questions are related to using Xbox Game Pass on gaming handhelds, and the importance of streaming cloud games to handhelds.
Users were also asked if they prefer handhelds over other devices for gaming, and if a handheld is their primary gaming device.
And lastly, Microsoft wanted to know if your gaming habits would change if you had a dedicated Xbox handheld.
Unfortunately, this survey gives us more questions than answers, but many are speculating that a potential handheld device could be targeted specifically toward Xbox owners.
It would be exciting to see an Xbox handheld, and we hope Microsoft decides to make one, but that is currently wishful thinking.
In case you’re looking for an already existing handheld, you’ll be pleased to hear that MSI Claw has a new firmware that boosts performance, so you might want to consider getting it.
