Norton Security Settings won't open? Try this

1. Press Start and type in run. The Run window will now open.
2. Type in control.exe and press Enter. This will open the Control Panel.
3. Go to Power Options.
4. Select Choose what the power buttons do .
5. Click Change settings that are currently unavailable.
6. If you are prompted by the User Account Control windows, press Yes.
7. Under Shutdown settings, uncheck the Turn on fast startup box.
8. Click the Save changes button.
9. Restart the PC.

The Fast Startup feature is enabled by default in all Windows computers. However, it doesn’t always work as excpeted, and might interfere with some software from your computer.

3. Remove and Reinstall Norton 360

1. Download the Norton Remove and Reinstall Tool.
2. After you’ve read the license agreement, click Agree.
3. Select the option Remove & Reinstall.
4. Click Continue or Remove (varies depending on the version).
5. Select the Restart Now option when prompted.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions to reinstall Norton.
7. Reboot your PC again.
