If you often send emails to multiple recipients, Outlook will let you use commas to separate them and type them faster. You’ll no longer have to click on them to ensure they’re typed in.

Plus, according to the description in the entry to the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, this new setting will be customizable, meaning you’ll get to choose whether to use a comma as a recipient separator or as part of the contact name.

Here’s what the entry says:

By default, Outlook Web and the New Outlook support separating recipients by using either a semicolon or a comma. This new setting allows users to choose if the comma should be used as a recipient separator or instead allowed as part of the contact name. This is helpful for organizations where contacts follow the “Last name, First name” format. #newoutlookforwindows

The new capability for separating email recipients will be released in Outlook in January 2025 to all of the Desktop and Web users.

Speaking of sending emails to multiple accounts, the new Outlook will also soon allow users to move their emails between different multiple accounts for easier management.
