Path of Exile has been a spiritual successor of Diablo 2 for a while, so it’s no wonder that the game has achieved tremendous popularity.
When the sequel was first announced, the fans of the game were pretty excited, and today we have some good news for console owners as well.
Path of Exile 2 will be available on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5
This information comes from One Esports, and in a recent showcase video, the developers shared the information regarding the console release.
Grinding Gear Software now has a dedicated team for console development that managed to create a new interface that will make the game more accessible on consoles.
The interface allows you to easily assign skills and items for quick access with the controller. The inventory system has been redesigned and it uses full-screen view on the consoles.
It allows you to manage items the same as before, but it offers shortcuts that allow you to quickly equip or unequip items.
Another feature that deserves a mention is couch co-op so you can play the game with your friends on the same device. Last but not least, is the full support for cross-play and cross-progression, so you can play with your friends regardless of the platform.
The game will be released for PC, and next-gen consoles on the same day, and if can’t wait to try it, it will be available for early access later this year.
Path of Exile 2 isn’t the only game confirmed to be released on console, and recently Marvel Rivals console release was confirmed.
In other news, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 won’t require a new Xbox Game Pass tier, so everyone with a subscription will be able to play it.
