  2. After selecting the player of your choice, click Challenge to apply for a battle.

How can I create a private server in the Pokemon showdown?

1. Set up your server

  1. Download and install Node.js before attempting to create a private server.
  2. Press the Windows key, search for the command prompt and launch it.
  3. Run the following command to start the Pokeman showdown: node pokemon-showdown 8000
  4. Then visit your server at http://SERVER:8000
  5. You can replace the SERVER with your domain or IP. (e.g http://localhost:8000)
  6. You will be redirected to http://SERVER.psim.us

2. Create an Administrator account

  1. Create a file named config/usergroups.csv and it will contain USER,&
  2. Change the USER to your Pokemon shutdown username.

This is how to set up your own Pokemon Showdown server. However, your computer will be the server computer that others will connect to via port forwarding.
