I have been playing Rummikub with my friends since I was a little kid and I still play it when I have the chance. That’s why I was happy to discover that there is a reliable Rummikub app to play on your Windows 8 tablets, under the simple name of “Rummi”
I was just sharing with you the most reliable Rummy cards game app for Windows 8 users – Gin Rummy Free and was pointing to the fact that there is an often confused with the Rummikub board game. To dissipate that confusion, I am also shortly presenting the free Rummikub app for Windows 8 users “Rummi”.
The brain teasing rummy-style puzzle game. It is based on rules of the rummy-style games like Rummy or Rummikub. There are 106 tiles in the game including 2 jokers. There are 4 different color tiles, black, red, yellow, and green numbering 1 through 13. The objective of the game is to be the first to eliminate all the tiles from your rack by forming them into sets of runs and groups, and then melding them onto the table.

I guess that if you were looking for a Windows 8 Rummikub app, then you know the rules and how you need to play the game, so we won’t go over that again, as you will see the full description in the app’s description, as well (download link at the end). You can only play in sngle player mode against your computer opponent, which is a pity. A multiplayer mode for this Rummikub app would be so awesome.
The Rummi app comes with tile sorting on color or value, and Cancel, Undo and Redo buttons, as well as the autosave game option. This Rummikub game for Windows 8 is available for free and it’s great that the advertising doesn’t get in your way. The Rummi apps have also been recently updated, with small bug fixes, improved artwork (buttons) and stability.
