Starfield “Free Lanes” Update Launches, Adds Seamless Planet Travel and Major Overhaul
Cruise mode finally unlocks true space travel freedom

Now, the PS5 release has arrived alongside a major new update, and it’s finally available for players to dive into.
Free Lanes update for Startfield is finally here
The highlight of the update is cruise mode, which lets players fly freely between planets within the same star system. This change removes previous travel limitations and makes exploration far more seamless. Here are other notable changes from the official patch notes:
