It is one of the most anticipated games of the decade thus far, and Starfield will most likely arrive at last sometime in 2023. While an official release date has not been announced, it seems all but certain it will fall within the first half of the year (as confirmed on the game’s newly up-and-running support page over on Bethesda.net), with many pointing to May or June.
However, some fans are speculating that Starfield’s release could come a bit sooner. On April 12th, to be exact: the International Day of Human Space Flight. The idea was first brought up on the Starfield subreddit, with one user stating on a separate subreddit that “that would be very fitting.”
While this is purely fan speculation, such a move would be perfectly in line with Bethesda’s history of aiming for memorable release dates for its games, as it did with the 11/11/11 release date for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. We will just have to wait and see—though likely not too much longer—if these fans are truly on to Bethesda’s plans.
