Subnautica 2 Finally Gets Firm Early Access Release Date
Subnautica 2 finally has a confirmed Early Access date, alongside a new cinematic trailer that gives a fresh look at the upcoming survival sequel. The developers have now locked in launch timing, pricing, and rollout details ahead of release.
Subnautica 2 launches in Early Access on May 14
As previously expected, Subnautica 2 will enter Early Access on May 14, 2026, at 08:00 PDT and 15:00 UTC. The studio has also shared a global release timing map so players can check exact availability in their region.
The Early Access price is set at $29.99, with regional pricing depending on storefront. Players will only need to purchase the game once during Early Access. That single purchase will include all future updates, additions, and fixes leading up to the full 1.0 release.
Storefront updates and early details
Store pages across Steam, Epic Games, and Xbox have been updated with new screenshots and information. Wishlist options are already live ahead of launch. The team is also encouraging players to join community channels to discuss new details and upcoming updates as the release approaches. Early Access suggests ongoing development, so the launch version may not reflect the full experience at release.
More content and changes are expected over time. With the release date now confirmed, attention remains on how Subnautica 2 evolves during Early Access and what features will be available on day one.
