Subnautica 2 has reportedly leaked online ahead of its planned Early Access release on May 14, 2026. The leak surfaced only days after Forza Horizon 6 also appeared online before launch, raising fresh concerns about pre-release security across major upcoming games.

Full game build allegedly circulating online

Reports claim the full Subnautica 2 game files are already spreading across piracy and file-sharing groups. Users online also claim the leaked build is playable, while screenshots and gameplay clips have already started appearing across social media and forums.

At the moment, the source of the leak remains unknown.

The timing stands out because developer Unknown Worlds Entertainment reportedly enabled pre-orders and preloading on May 11, only a few days before the planned Early Access release.

Studio has not responded yet

So far, Unknown Worlds Entertainment has not issued an official statement regarding the alleged leak.

It’s worth mentioning that leaked game builds often carry serious security concerns. Modified installers and unofficial files can contain malware, credential-stealing software, or unstable code that may damage systems or corrupt saves.

Forza Horizon 6 leak already triggered bans

The situation follows another major gaming leak involving Forza Horizon 6 earlier this week. Developers reportedly started banning players who modified the leaked version of the game.

Reports also claim hardware bans may target users who accessed or played unauthorized leaked builds before launch.

Large game leaks have become increasingly common in recent years, especially around preload periods and Early Access launches. Developers now face growing pressure to secure distribution systems while trying to balance early downloads, preload convenience, and launch-day stability.

For players, unofficial leaked builds continue to carry major risks, even when the files appear functional.
