teams together mode

Together mode in Microsoft Teams makes video calls feel like being together in the same room. It helps people feel more connected and reduces the tiredness from virtual meetings.

This mode is helpful for meetings with many participants, making it easier to see when to speak.

People have found it hard to know when Together mode is on. Now, with new buttons (Everyone, Change scene, and Assign seats), you can easily manage Together mode and preview the setup before the meeting starts. Microsoft announced them in a blog post.

This prevents accidental activation and lets the organizer set the background and seating before everyone joins.

Teams meeting organizers can select the Together mode in the meeting toolbar, under the View section, and choose the preferred background. After that, the Assign seats button will rearrange all the participants.

The feature is available to all members of the Teams Public Preview or Microsoft 365 Targeted release, and both Windows and Mac users can access it.
