Microsoft 365 Document Collaboration Partner Program

Microsoft has officially announced the availability of the Microsoft 365 Document Collaboration Partner Program (MDCPP). This new program allows independent software vendors (ISVs) who offer cloud communication and collaboration platforms to make Microsoft 365 collaboration experiences available inside and outside meetings.

In a blog post, Microsoft says ISVs who join the program can enable customers on their platform to view, collaborate, and coauthor documents within Microsoft apps. This will expand the experience available in Microsoft Teams to new platforms.

Microsoft 365 Document Collaboration Partner Program will allow eligible ISVs to include collaborative Microsoft 365 app experiences in their preferred communication and collaboration platform.

The program includes a Web app option for real-time co-authoring, where eligible ISVs can provide simultaneous collaboration and editing of documents integrated into their preferred platform. This option, available today, allows for integrating Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents from SharePoint and OneDrive for Business.

The program also includes a live app option in meetings, where customers can interact interactively and engage with PowerPoint Live and Excel Live in their preferred meeting solution.

With PowerPoint Live and Excel Live, meeting participants can interact and collaborate with documents in real-time, including editing and exploring papers directly in the meeting window. Presenters can also see rich presenter views, speaker notes, and other tools. This is coming soon.

Microsoft has already partnered with Zoom on MDCPP.

We continue the work with Microsoft as announced earlier this year to bring this to market for Zoom Workplace customers.

Speaking of Zoom, Microsoft made it possible for users of this platform to access the 365 Suite, earlier this year, in February, also part of the Microsoft 365 Document Collaboration Partner Program.
