Microsoft releases the Windows 10 Build 19045.5552 KB5052077 for insiders

Microsoft released the KB5052077 patch for Windows 10 version 22H2 users as the operating system’s non-security optional update for February.

It’s not a very exciting update, but the software giant still patched some critical tools. If you were having problems running DWM (dwm.exe), Microsoft fixed the issues where the app stopped responding frequently.

There was also a known issue with OpenSSH, where the service failed to start and the SSH connections were stopped. The workaround was to start the sshd.exe process manually, but if you install KB5052077 on Windows 10 22H2, you won’t have that issue anymore.

Here are other improvements and fixes introduced with Windows 10 Build 19045.5552 as highlighted by Microsoft in the release document:

  • [Daylight saving time (DST)] This update supports (DST) changes in Paraguay.
  • [Input Method Editor (IME)]
    • Fixed: The Chinese IME stops responding when you change the font family or font size.
    • Fixed: The color contrast ratio of the Chinese IME search suggestion panel is less than you expect.
  • [Country and Operator Settings Asset] This update brings COSA profiles up to date for certain mobile operators.
  • [Narrator]
    • Fixed: It fails to say the Chinese IME candidate window quick action buttons right.
    • Fixed: It does not say the control type for the Chinese IME suggestion opt-in item.
    • Fixed: It does not say the heading of the Chinese IME suggestion opt-in panel.

We remind you that Microsoft also released the Patch Tuesday security updates for Windows 10, which are much more important.
