Last week, the Office Insider Program got a new name, Microsoft 365 Insider program, as well as a new look. Microsoft executed this move in a bid to align with its transition from Office 365 to Microsoft 365.
The company highlighted that this change will not affect how the program has been running since its inception back in 2015. “Same early access you know and love with a newly expanded purview,” says Microsoft.
Building upon the same premise, the recently revamped program announced the availability of a feature that lets PowerPoint for iPad users export their PowerPoint slides or even an entire presentation into an animated GIF. This feature was already available for both PowerPoint for Mac and Windows users.
To access this feature on your iPad, you need to open the presentation you want to turn into a GIF and tap on the ellipses. Select the Create GIF option, where you will be prompted to choose the slides you’d want to turn into a GIF from your presentation. You also get to set how long each slide gets to be displayed as well as the quality of the animated GIF.
If you are part of the Microsoft 365 Insider Program and have an iPad running on Office Insider Version 2.70 (Build 23012202) or later, you should be able to access this neat feature. In related news, PowerPoint for iOS will let users create slides in portrait mode to make the process of creating presentations easier.
