Yesterday we posted that Xbox would reportedly be hosting a Developer_Direct event on January 25th. The news confirmed weeks of speculation that began following The Game Awards 2022 show last month, in which Xbox’s presence was conspicuously sparse.

According to the original source, Windows Central, the Xbox Developer_Direct show is slated to broadcast at 12pm PT on Xbox’s official YouTube and Twitch channels on January 25th. The show will be jointly hosted by Microsoft and Bethesda.

As for what we’ll see at the Xbox Developer_Direct showcase, we will likely get new looks (and possibly release dates) at the usual suspects—Redfall, Forza Motorsport, and Minecraft Legends. It is speculated, however, that Starfield may be a no-show.

At any rate, a tweet from Xbox Marketing VP Aaron Greenberg on Monday has added further buzz to the speculation.

While this may not seem like much to go on, it seems apparent that Microsoft has something in store for Xbox fans this week. While it could be a surprise Game Pass announcement, it could also be related to the Xbox Developer_Direct event in some way. Possibly a teaser trailer for the event? Going off Greenberg’s tweet, we should know by the end of the week.
