The live streams on Twitch are dependant on notifications to bring avid followers to watch a certain content at a certain point of time. But, occasionally, Twitch notifications are not working.

Twitch users seemingly have a variety of notification issues and they are not coming through no matter what they try. Today, we’ll try and address all notification-related issues users encountered on Twitch.

How do I turn on notifications for Twitch?

1. Twitch Live notifications not working

Make sure you enabled Live Notifications

  1. Open Twitch on the web.
  2. Click on your avatar in the top right corner and open Settings.
  3. Select Notifications > On Twitch.
  4. Make sure that Live notifications are enabled.Twitch notification issues
  5. Alternatively, you can try and disable the Smart notifications option.

Enable Live Notifications in Browser

  1. Navigate to Settings again.
  2. Choose Notifications.
  3. Under the Recieve Browser Notifications for this Device section, click Turn On.Twitch notification issues
  4. When the prompt appears, click Allow.

2. Twitch Push notifications not working

Reinstall the app

  1. In the Windows Search bar, type Control and open Control Panel.
  2. Choose Uninstall a program.
  3. Remove Twitch app.

  5. Download and install Twitch again.
  6. Sign-in into the app and ensure all notifications are enabled.

Make sure Smart Notifications are disabled

  1. Open Twitch.
  2. Choose Settings.
  3. Select Notifications.

3. Twitch Sub notification not showing

Clear browser‘s cache

  1. Press Shift + Control + Delete to bring the Clear Browsing Data windows.
  2. Select the Cached images and files and Cookies and other site data.

Reset your browser (Chrome)

  1. Open your browser settings.
  2. Navigate to the bottom.
  3. Expand Advanced options and scroll to the bottom.
  4. Click Restore settings to their original defaults.

5. Twitch not sending email notifications

Re-enable email notifications

  1. Open Twitch.
  2. Open Twitch.
  3. Choose Settings.

  5. Toggle the All Emails option.

Re-set your email address

  1. Open Settings in Twitch.
  2. Choose Security and Privacy.
  3. Click on the edit pen on the right.

  5. Get back and re-enter your old email address and verify that.
  6. Now, in your email client, ensure that Twitch emails aren’t under spam.

6. Twitch notifications not working Android

Enable Notifications

  1. Open the Twitch app.
  2. Navigate to Settings > Notifications.
  3. Ensure that all Notifications for Mobile are enabled.
  4. Alternatively, you can go to phone settings, choose Apps & notifications, and locate the Twitch on the list of the installed apps.
  5. Open the Twitch from the list and select Notifications.Twitch notification issues
  6. Check all the boxes. Also, ensure that Twitch has all the required permissions.

Reinstall the app

  1. In the Settings > Apps & notifications > All apps, select Twitch.

  4. Look for improvements.

7. Twitch notifications not working iOS

Enable Notifications

  1. Open Twitch.
  2. Open Settings > Notifications.Twitch notification issues

Reinstall the app

  1. On the home screen, hold the Twitch app and drag it up to uninstall it.
  2. Navigate to App Store and install Twitch again.
