Did not solve my problem. I have a USB attached drive on a desktop computer. I cannot access it from a portable even though I can access other drives on the desktop on my portable.
was following along fine… then hit troubleshooter and all of a sudden it was referencing \network_nameshared_folder…. which I’m sure I can figure out. BUT if you are touting this as a comprehensive document, it’s missing a few steps.
Also, setting up a network shared device, it would be helpful if there was a check list for both sharing out and accessing from a remote PC with appropriate debugging steps. (Not your fault, but this shouldn’t be this painful).
