After updating it to the latest version, dozens of Microsoft Rewards users have reported on Microsoft and Reddit forums that they have lost access to the Rewards module on Bing.

While updating the Bing platform on iOS devices disables the Reward module for a few hours this time, days have passed, and the module is still missing, with many expressing concern and frustration that they’ll lose their strike.

Earlier today I updated the Bing app on iOS and it removed the Rewards tab, no biggie as this happens from time to time but returns later in the day (as of 9:30pm tonight it has not returned), I just updated the MSN (start) app (accidentally) and they have removed the rewards tab from that app as well. Hoping it returns tomorrow but be cautious of updating the apps, for now atleast.

For now, it seems that the issue only affects iOS devices, such as iPhones and iPads, and it impacts devices as soon as the latest major update is installed. The latest update was released on January 10th.

The problem is exclusively related to the Bing app itself on iOS – which had a major update the day before this incident (the 10th, according to the information visible in the Apple Store.

The issue is still ongoing. Still, if you are affected by it, there is a solution: download and install an older beta version of Bing for iOS with the Microsoft Rewards module intact and functioning.

You can do so by accessing this link. (Credits to the Microsoft Rewards Reddit community).

Meanwhile, if you’re using Microsoft Rewards on Bing on your iPhone/iPad, you might want to avoid installing any updates until Apple or Microsoft comes up with a fix.
