Word Android custom tables

Microsoft has updated Word for Android and iOS to support adding custom tables to documents. According to the official announcement, it might be easier to add tables to Word documents using your phone rather than your PC.

Word for Android and iOS could add tables to documents on these devices, but the process was slow and quite frustrating (like the PC version).

However, now, users are able to customize the number of rows and columns before adding a table.

You’ll need to open a Word document on your Android or iOS device, tap to place the cursor where you want to insert the table, and then tap Insert > Table. Select the number of rows and columns you want, then tap the Inset Table button, and this is it. Your Word document should have the desired table.

The new feature is available to all Word users using an Android phone or iPhone and running Build 16.0.18224.41005 or later (Android) and Version 2.89 (Build 24082417) or later (iOS).

It’s worth noting that the custom tables for Word documents are not available on Android tablets or iPads.
