KB5048761

Microsoft has launched a new Windows 11 build for Dev Channel users. Build 26120.2702 (KB5048761) is now making its way to Insiders, bringing more than a few notable changes.

The standout feature in this release is the introduction of new webcam features, such as a new advanced camera options page that’s now available for those with early access to the build.

This page provides access to several new settings, including allowing multiple applications to access a camera stream simultaneously and enabling basic camera functionality for improved debugging.

Microsoft says it plans to introduce a third option for selecting a media type in a future build, allowing users to choose different media types like resolution and frame rate.

In addition to these new camera features, the latest build includes improvements to passwordless authentication on Windows and the ability for third-party providers to offer plugin-based authenticators for the WebAuthn passwordless standard in the future.

Plus, KB5048761 made the long-anticipated Edge Game Assist available to Insiders. This tool wants to help gamers complete tasks in video games more easily and faster with the help of suggestions and recommendations.
