Microsoft has finally launched multi-edition ISO files for Windows 11 on Arm, offering users more flexibility when installing and managing the OS.
The new ISO files can be used to create virtual machines, perform upgrades within a running copy of Windows, or create bootable media for installation on other PCs.
The ISO files, available directly from Microsoft, have a download size of around 6GB. The company notes that users may need to include drivers from hardware OEMs for the installation media to be successfully bootable.
Snapdragon X Series processor-based Copilot+ PC users can get this ISO to install Windows, but the operating system won’t have the OEM’s drivers, at first, although they’ll be there after a few updates.
The Windows 11 on Arm ISO is compatible with the following products:
- Microsoft Surface Pro X
- Samsung Galaxy Book S
- Lenovo Flex 5G
- Asus NovaGo
- HP Envy x2
