windows 11 widgets

Microsoft has pulled multiple widgets from the Microsoft Store to improve the Windows 11 Widgets board. The company says the move is temporary and is working on returning the affected widgets after they have been improved.

The removed widgets include the Calendar and To Do. It also notes that in some regions, Photos, Microsoft 365 Feed, and Family widgets have also been removed.

Here’s what the company says in a support note:

In our ongoing efforts to improve the Widgets Board, the Calendar and To Do widgets have been removed from the Widgets collection in the Microsoft Store for now. Note: In some regions, Photos, Family and Microsoft 365 Feed widgets were also removed.

While we work on bringing them back, check out the other Widgets available in the Microsoft Store for alternatives. Learn more about at What are Widgets, and How Do I Use Them? and Stay up to date with widgets.

Microsoft also notes that just because you’re on the latest version of Windows 11, you still might not have access to the latest widget features. The company says this is because Microsoft is gradually rolling out new features to customers over several weeks.

Some widgets in Windows 11 were labeled as unavailable, but in the most recent build to the Beta Channel, the Redmond-based tech giant fixed the issue, allowing users to access them once again..
