XBOX FanFest LA Guests Receive Free XBOX Series X25 Consoles After Showcase

Microsoft surprised fans at XBOX FanFest LA with a free limited-edition XBOX Series X25 console giveaway following the Xbox Games Showcase 2026.

The XBOX Series X25 is a special anniversary version of the XBOX Series X, created to celebrate 25 years of Xbox. While the console was officially revealed during the showcase, attendees at FanFest LA received an even bigger surprise after the event concluded.

The giveaway nobody saw coming

XBOX executives Asha Sharma and Matt Booty appeared on stage following the showcase to thank fans for attending. During the presentation, Sharma spoke about her first XBOX Games Showcase before announcing that everyone with a FanFest badge would receive the new XBOX Series X25 console at no cost.

The announcement immediately triggered a huge reaction from the crowd, with many attendees visibly shocked and excited by the unexpected giveaway.

Although fans did not leave the venue carrying the consoles, that appears to be because the XBOX Series X25 is not scheduled to launch until November 2026. Eligible attendees are expected to receive their systems closer to the official release date.

The limited-edition hardware will also ship alongside a matching XBOX controller designed specifically for the anniversary release.

The giveaway represents one of the biggest perks ever offered to XBOX FanFest attendees, especially considering that the console has not yet been released to the general public and is expected to become a highly sought-after collector’s item.
