Microsoft continues to expand its Xbox ecosystem, and following a recent Partner Preview broadcast highlighting upcoming Game Pass titles, the company is now giving players a chance to try new games for free.

Xbox Free Play Days adds new games this weekend

According to Neowin, Microsoft has launched a new Free Play Days promotion featuring two titles that players can jump into right now.

The current lineup includes Rubber Bandits and Train Sim World 6, offering two very different gameplay experiences for Xbox users.

Rubber Bandits is a chaotic multiplayer party game built around heists, physics-based combat, and fast-paced matches. However, access to this title requires an active Xbox Game Pass subscription, including Ultimate, Premium, or Essential tiers.

On the other hand, Train Sim World 6 is available to all players without any subscription. The game focuses on realistic train simulation, featuring multiple routes, detailed controls, and various gameplay modes. It also includes themed content such as a crossover with Thomas & Friends, adding a more casual and nostalgic twist.

Available across console and PC

Both games are accessible on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC, ensuring broad availability across Microsoft’s gaming ecosystem.

As with previous Free Play Days events, any progress made during the trial period will carry over if players decide to purchase the full game later. This allows users to continue their experience without losing progress.

The promotion is available for a limited time and will run through Sunday, March 29 at 11:59 PM PT. After that, access will be restricted unless the games are purchased or available through Game Pass.

More Game Pass updates expected soon

This promotion arrives alongside other Game Pass developments. Microsoft has already confirmed several titles coming to the service in April, and reports suggest the company may be considering pricing adjustments in the future.

With regular content drops and free trial events like this, Microsoft continues to position Game Pass as a central part of its gaming strategy.
